WM DeKrey Available Now

Prior to starting his own criminal defense firm, Mr. DeKrey worked as a Federal Public Defender in Fargo, North Dakota, handling over 450 cases. His caseload primarily included alleged drug possession and distribution, illegal gun possession, noncitizen illegal reentry, child sexual abuse imagery, and supervised release violations. He also handled cases originating on the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation and the Spirit Lake Dakota Reservation, including alleged murder, manslaughter, sexual assault, assault, arson, and others. Before becoming a public defender, Mr. DeKrey spent three years representing average people taking on large companies at an elite class action law firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He remains close with the firm and sometimes collaborates with them and others on cases involving civil rights and consumer protection violations. Mr. DeKrey graduated from the University of North Dakota and University of Minnesota Law School, both with honors.
