Fillmore began his legal career in Denver, Colorado with the regional law firm of Holland & Hart, and subsequently joined the Logan, Utah law firm of Olson & Hoggan. He stepped out of private practice in 1986 to serve as Associate General Counsel for Brigham Young University. In 1991, Bill opened the Utah County office for the Salt Lake City law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy, serving as managing attorney for three years before forming his own firm in Provo in 1994, now known as Fillmore Spencer LLC, Utah County’s largest local law firm.
