Vanessa King Available Now

I am Vanessa L. King, a trial lawyer with extensive experience in the courtroom. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida in 2005 and earned my law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2011. My career began with over three years of service as an Assistant State Attorney, where I focused on prosecuting career criminals. Throughout my career as both a prosecutor and a criminal defense lawyer, I have handled a wide range of charges, including vehicular homicide, attempted murder, armed robbery, and carjacking. After leaving the State Attorney's Office in 2014, I have been practicing in various areas such as criminal defense (both state and federal), civil litigation, nursing home defense, administrative/licensure law, auto negligence, and personal injury. In recognition of my work, I received the Distinguished Service Award from the Florida Council on Crime and Delinquency in 2014. I am also honored to be rated as one of the "10 Best Attorneys" for Exceptional and Outstanding Client Service by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys in 2018 and to have received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell in the same year. I am actively involved in the legal community as a member of the Florida Bar, the Federal Bar Association-Tampa Bay Chapter, St. Pete Bar Association, Clearwater Bar Association, Florida Association for Women Lawyers-Pinellas, Pinellas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, I am part of the Barney Masterson and Goldburg-Cacciatore Inns of Court.
