Focusing my practice in the areas of Criminal Law, Estate Law and Family Law. I was born in Peoria, Illinois in 1970 and was raised in Galesburg, Illinois. I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Lawrence University in 1992. I earned my Juris Doctorate degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from Northern Illinois University in 1998, where I was a member of the Northern Illinois University Moot Court Team and editor of the Northern Illinois Law Review. I am admitted to Colorado and Illinois State Bars and a member of the Colorado and Illinois State Bar Associations, the American Bar Association and Juvenile Justice Council. I served as an Assistant State's Attorney from 2000 - 2007. Thereafter I have been a Criminal Defense Attorney 2007 - 2014 and sole practitioner. I am certified as a Guardian Ad Litem, a Child Advocate and Court Mediator. I have handled 1000+ DUI cases and have 15+ years experience in Probate, Trusts and Family Law.
