About Todd Schlossberg

Todd Schlossberg: I was born on May 8, 1959. After various stints running ski lifts at Killington Ski Area, picking apples in Putney, and traveling in Central America, I moved to Burlington, Vermont in 1981. Over the following several years, I taught skiing, flipped pizzas, sold bicycles, and worked as an adolescent and family counselor for a community action agency. I eventually went on to study law, graduating from Vermont Law School, summa cum laude (1st in my class) in 1990. After receiving my law degree, I served as a law clerk to Associate Justice John A. Dooley of the Vermont Supreme Court. I entered private practice with a Burlington law firm in 1991, concentrating in professional malpractice cases, personal injury, and general litigation. In 1998, I decided to open my own practice, 100% dedicated to helping injured Vermonters, visitors, and their families in serious personal injury, nursing home abuse and neglect, and wrongful death cases. In 2006, I was honored to be among 50 trial attorneys from around the United States selected to attend the intensive 22-day Trial Lawyers College, in Wyoming, founded by the legendary trial lawyer, Gerry Spence. The Trial Lawyers College is "dedicated to training attorneys who are committed to the jury system and to representing and obtaining justice for individuals; the poor, the injured, the forgotten, the voiceless, the defenseless and the damned, and to protecting the rights of such people from corporate and government oppression." I have served as a member of the faculty of the College, and served for several years on the College's alumni board. I am a Board-Certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, part of the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification. From 2010-2011, I served as President of the Vermont Association for Justice (VTAJ), our state's organization of attorneys dedicated to protecting for our civil justice system and the rights of the injured.
