About Susan Marks
Susan Marks is the attorney with the Law Office of Susan Marks, PLLC, a law firm for special education and disability-related issues. Prior to opening as the Law Office of Susan Marks, Susan was the managing attorney for Susan Marks & Advocates, PLLC. Susan's legal practice focuses on disability- and special education-related matters covered under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). She assists family members and individuals with disabilities to access services in schools and universities, employment settings, and community settings.
Susan is also a Professor Emeritus of special education at Northern Arizona University where she coordinated the Autism Support Professional graduate certificate and taught courses for the BCBA certificate program. Susan has worked in the field of special education and developmental disabilities for more than 40 years. During those 40 years, she worked in residential programs, rehabilitation programs, and school programs serving individuals with disabilities.
