Shay Hargrave Available Now

Shay Hargrave is a lifelong resident of Kaplan, Louisiana. Before becoming an attorney, he served for over ten years with the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office, gaining firsthand experience in law enforcement and public service. While working full time, Shay earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. He later attended the Southern University Law Center on an academic scholarship. During law school, he served as a Title XX Attorney in the Successions Clinic, assisting families with estate and succession matters. Shay graduated from Southern University Law Center in 2025 and was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar that same year. Shay now serves as an Assistant District Attorney for the 15th Judicial District right here in Vermilion parish. He is also admitted to practice in the Western District of Louisiana. In addition to his work as a prosecutor, Shay has a strong interest in helping families through the probate and estate planning process. He understands that the passing of a loved one is a difficult time, and he strives to make that process as smooth, straightforward, and stress-free as possible for all parties involved. His goal is to ensure that families can focus on what matters most while he handles the legal details with care and precision. Shay is married and the proud father of two children. His commitment to family and community guides his approach to the law, emphasizing fairness, compassion, and integrity in every case he handles.
