About Russell Taylor
I have both personal and professional experience dealing with the aftermath of divorce and family violence. It’s a difficult truth that people are more likely to hurt those they love than a stranger. Love can stir deep emotions, sometimes leading to passion that erupts into conflict. Over time, I’ve seen that emotions often cool, and forgiveness can follow. In some cases, though, the only way to find peace is to part ways.
I’m not here to judge you for who you’ve loved. My goal is to help you find peace.
If you’ve been charged with a crime, you’re facing a battle with the State of Georgia. The system is not in your favor, and they’ll push you to waive your rights. Even if the "victim" has forgiven you, the State may still pursue your freedom. Prosecutors will pressure you to accept a plea deal, but there are other ways to defend yourself.
If you’re a victim of family violence, I can help you address the situation without involving the police. Law enforcement doesn’t have to be your only option. A conviction for your significant other or family member could impact their ability to earn a living, which might affect you as well. Instead, you can seek a temporary family violence protective order. This can give you the space to let emotions settle and figure out the best way to move forward.
When your family is falling apart, it’s hard to know what steps to take. If you’re unsure, getting advice is a good place to start. I’ve had conversations with judges, lawyers, and others about a wide range of family issues, and I’d welcome the chance to talk with you about yours. Whether your concerns involve finances or child custody, I can help you create a plan to move forward with your life.
I’m here to help.
