With over 40 years of experience I have seen your legal issue. I always try to avoid legalese and talk to clients in words they can understand. I believe that it is also important to ask the client what they expect/want to happen and make that the joint goal, if at all possible. If this is not possible, explain why not before the client retains and determine what is acceptable as a goal.
