Richard E. Griffith practices in all areas of family law including divorce, child custody, support issues, and adoption. Griffith has been in private practice for more than 15 years and prides himself on assisting clients through highly emotional issues involved in custody and divorce proceedings. He strives as an attorney and as a person to listen to clients, answer questions and concerns in plain English, and to be honest, courteous, and respectful. “Our goal is to help our clients understand their rights and responsibilities, and resolve problems by using the legal system when needed,” he said. “Most disagreements can be resolved through negotiation, compromise, or mediation. When they cannot I stand ready to zealously promote my clients’ interests before a judge, jury or arbitrator.” Griffith was born and raised in Shreveport. He graduated magna cum laude in 1997 with degrees in Political Science and History from Ouachita Baptist University. Griffith earned his law degree in 2000 at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana Bar Association, and Shreveport Bar Association. He has been recognized by SB Magazine as one of Shreveport Bossier’s Top Lawyers for the past 10 years. The American Institute of Family Law Attorneys recognized him as one of the Top Law Firms in Louisiana 2017-2018. He is also an Eagle Scout and an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. He serves as Committee Chair for the Pack 3 Cub Scout Troop and is currently president of the Village Green Homeowners Association.
