Rebecca Skeeles Available Now

I am an attorney and business consultant with a focus on business law, real estate, construction, contracts, mergers, sales and acquisitions of businesses, estate planning, and equine law. My background includes extensive experience in litigation, contracts, transactions, and negotiations. I am also a certified mediator with the Ohio Supreme Court and Harvard Law. Having helped start and operate a family business in the construction industry for nearly 30 years, I bring a unique perspective to advising my clients. I understand the challenges and opportunities business owners face, from launching a company to growing it over time. My clients value my direct and approachable style, honesty, and strong work ethic. They also appreciate my practical approach to evaluating returns on investment in legal and litigation matters. I often serve as general counsel for many clients, as I believe the best way to address legal issues is to prevent them from arising in the first place. My passion lies in protecting those I work with and helping their businesses grow and thrive. In 1991, I co-founded Skeeles Manufacturing Inc., a construction company specializing in custom countertops and retail fixtures, with my father. I served as Vice President and helped manage the business until we sold it in 2020. While running the company, I attended law school at night, earning my degree from Capital University Law School. After graduation, I took on the role of Vice President of Sales and General Counsel for the sale of the business and its real estate in 2020. From 2013 to 2021, I worked as a professional public speaker for Casemaker, a legal research platform, traveling nationwide to present to state bar associations, law firms, government organizations, and law schools. Prior to that, I worked for the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) from 2008 to 2013, where I represented the OSBA and promoted its services, including Casemaker and In-House CLE programs, to the Ohio legal community.
