About Philip Crawford
Philip Crawford graduated Magna Cum Laude from Santa Clara University School of law. Philip has practiced in Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties for the past 33 years. His practice includes Family law, Juvenile law, Education Law, and Labor law.
Philip is a former Police Officer, Police Sergeant at San Jose Police Department. He is the founding attorney and former chief counsel for the Santa Clara County Correctional Officers Union. He has served as Chief Negotiator for public employee unions in negotiations and has handled hundreds of internal affairs investigations for police and correctional officers.
Philip was the director of Dependency Mediation for Contra Costa and Santa Cruz Superior Courts. He was also Director of Family Court Services and investigations, as well as the Deputy Court Executive Officer for Contra Costa Superior Court.
Philip was appointed to the Family and Juvenile Advisory Committee of the California Judicial Council by Supreme Court Chief Justice Ronald George. Philip conducted numerous Judicial training seminars in domestic violence and juvenile justice.
Philip is an Emeritus Professor at San Jose City College where he has taught for over forty years. Philip is the faculty champion for pathway to law school students and teaches law courses.
