About Mike Cunningham

Mike focuses his practice on criminal defense for clients throughout the state of Indiana. Mike was admitted to practice law in Indiana in May of 2018, and began his practice at a rural the law firm of Mullin, McMillin & McMillin, LLP in Brookville, Indiana. There, Mike argued countless suppression hearings, fact-finding hearings, and various other court and evidentiary hearings; and earned dismissals through negotiations and suppressions. In addition, Mike developed trial experience and earned not guilty verdicts and dismissals by taking his clients’ cases to jury trials. In 2024, Mike joined the Criminal Defense Team - Baldwin, Perry & Wiley, P.C. Since joining the firm, Mike has tried several jury trials and has continued his success inside and outside of the courtroom. Besides advocacy at the trial court level, Mike has also handled more than two dozen appeals and he has argued multiple times before the Indiana Court of Appeals and the Indiana Supreme Court. Mike is a former chair of the Indiana Bar Association's Criminal Justice Section and a board member of the Indiana Public Defender Council. Mike has also been recognized by Superlawyers as a Rising Start in the field of Criminal Law since 2023. And, in 2025, the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law recognized Mike with the Early Career Achievement Award. Regardless of the accusations and criminal charges a person faces, Mike firmly believes that everyone is presumed innocent unless proven guilty, and that they are entitled to a strong defense. When the government charges a person with a crime, the constitution affords them many rights that are designed to protect their lives, liberty, and property. That’s why it’s important to get an attorney, like Mike, on your team who can help you take control of your case and assist you in effectively exercising your rights.
