Michelle Fitzgerald Available Now

I’m Michelle Fitzgerald, an attorney and the founder of Horizons Law Group, LLC. My practice focuses on family law, including mediation and collaborative law, as well as real estate and estate planning, which includes probate and guardianships. Before becoming an attorney, I taught high school math in the Milwaukee Public School system. I’ve always enjoyed analyzing numbers and solving problems, and those skills continue to serve me well in my legal career. I’m actively involved in my community and have served on several boards. I’m currently on the board of the Elm Grove Woman’s Club, where I was also a past president. Previously, I served on the board of the Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin and held the position of Chairperson. I’ve also been a member of the Wauwatosa Village BID Board and the school governance council at my children’s former school. Additionally, I’m an active member of the Waukesha Bar and volunteer as a host family with Safe Families, among other community roles. I earned my law degree from Marquette University Law School and my undergraduate degree from UW-Madison. Over the years, I’ve been quoted in publications such as *Today’s Wisconsin Women* magazine, where I discussed the challenges adult children face when caring for aging parents, and the *Wisconsin Law Journal*, where I contributed to an article on unbundled legal services. In 2011, I was honored to receive the *Women in the Law* award from the *Wisconsin Law Journal*. I enjoy educating my clients while providing strong representation. I started Horizons Law Group in 2000, originally as Legal Horizons, to offer unbundled legal services and coaching in addition to traditional legal services. I continue to provide these options today, along with mediation services. My office is located in Brookfield.
