I focus my practice on Elder Law, Estate Planning, Trust Administration, Asset Protection, and Medicaid qualification. I started my legal career as a litigator, where I passionately advocated for my clients. Following this, I worked for a well-known Elder Law practitioner in Suffolk County, where my responsibilities included Probate and Estate Administration, Guardianship, and Estate Planning. Just before joining Grabie & Grabie, I served as the Director and In-house Counsel for a community guardianship program in Nassau County. In this position, I oversaw a team responsible for managing the personal and financial affairs of over 60 individuals who were unable to do so themselves due to mental illness, developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, or age-related dementia. Additionally, I managed the ancillary legal needs of these individuals. My duties included advocating for them in various matters such as real estate sales, eviction proceedings, child support proceedings, permanency hearings, and estate claims. I also assisted with applications for SSI, Medicaid, and other public benefits.
