Matthew M. Walton P.C. focuses primarily on criminal cases and family law. However, my firm handles a variety of related legal area including probate planning, contract and business-related matters, personal injury, etc. I represent clients who have been charged with drug possession, drunk driving, minor in possession, marijuana offenses, all types of assault charges, criminal sexual conduct, larceny, probation violations, juvenile offenses and many more. I will explain what the charges mean and what you can expect based upon your particular circumstances. I have represented hundreds of divorce clients, from the simple to the most complex cases. I also represent clients in all areas of family law, including but not limited to, custody, paternity, parenting time, spousal and child support, property division and grandparents rights etc. My goal is to keep my clients informed and to help them navigate through this most difficult situation while working to achieve the best possible resolution. I am a native of the Metro Detroit area and graduated from Troy High. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University and a Juris Doctor degree from Detroit College of Law, now Michigan State Law in 1991. I was admitted to the Michigan State Bar in 1991. Immediately following and during law school I worked as a research attorney for the Macomb County Circuit Court and have ghost written over 500 judicial opinions.
