Matt Shelton is the founding attorney at Shelton Law P.C., a law firm based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Shelton Law P.C. focuses on serving early-stage companies, small business owners, and with practical, business-minded legal solutions and transactional guidance. Matt assists businesses across a wide range of sectors but mostly focuses on counseling service, e-commerce, real estate, and SaaS companies. Additionally, Matt assists individuals with expunging their criminal record, pursuing consumer claims, and representing injured individuals. Matt also helps individuals with simple estate planning matters, such as will drafting, simple trusts, and power of attorney. Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Matt earned his B.S. in Business from the University of Tennessee–Knoxville in three years. He went on to graduate with his J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where he participated in moot court and the Business and Law Society. Matt’s legal background includes work with family office investment firms, a general practice legal clinic in Bloomington, and working in a corporate setting assisting with commercial transactions and providing small business legal services. This blend of transactional, litigation, and business experience allows Matt to provide comprehensive guidance to clients navigating both transactional and adversarial challenges.
