Leola Anderson Available Now

Leola Anderson earned a Juris Doctor from Loyola University College of Law in May 2006. She became a licensed practicing attorney in the state of Louisiana in October 2006. She is presently admitted to practice before all Federal and State Courts within the State of Louisiana as well as the United States Supreme Court. Because of her academic achievements, in 2004, Ms. Anderson had the distinguished pleasure of serving as an intern for the Louisiana State Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit for the Honorable Judge David S. Gorbaty. Ms. Anderson was selected for inclusion by peer recognition and professional achievement in the 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 Louisiana Rising Star lists, which honor the best Louisiana lawyers under age 40 and those who have practiced less than 10 years. In 2020, Ms. Anderson was a candidate for District Court Judge at the 34th Judicial District Court for the Parish of St. Bernard. She made history as the First African American to make it to the run-off in a parish-wide election. Currently, Ms. Anderson is the owner and sole member of Anderson & Associates Law Firm, which is a boutique firm focusing on the practice of general litigation, personal injury, product liability, premise liability, employment discrimination, harassment, whistleblower and wrongful discharge matters, as well as medical malpractice. Ms. Anderson is also a public defender with the 34th Judicial District Court Public Defender’s Office seeking to providing reputable and competent legal services to the under-privileged. In addition to services as public defender, Ms. Anderson devotes countless of pro bono legal services to the Family Violence Program of St. Bernard seeking to address the legal needs of victims of domestic abuse. Since 2006, Ms. Anderson has devoted her time and energy to disadvantage youths. She presently serves as the Youth Pastor of Abundant Life Tabernacle Full Gospel Baptist Church, Pastor Tyrone G. Jefferson.
