Thus, Mr. Abiola carefully limits his caseload to ensure that each case he works on receives the attention and craft necessary to develop and articulate a bold legal defense for his clients. Additionally, Mr. Abiola believes that clients should be told what their legal fees will be up front. Simply put, if he can't tell clients their legal fees up front, he will not accept clients' money. Sometimes prospective clients inquire about whether Prestige Law Office, LLC, is willing to work on an hourly basis. Well, the answer is always: no. First, hourly fees incentivize inefficiency. For instance, big law firms working for multibillion-dollar companies are typically interested in generating as many billable hours as possible to the detriment of those companies. Second, most individual clients cannot reasonably be expected to pay the tremendous billable hourly rate fees that most law firms generate. As a first-generation lawyer, coming to the U.S. at age 20 with no family members, putting himself through college and law school was not easy—but it was worth it.
