Joshua Strief Available Now

Josh is an Iowa native and grew up on a farm outside Sac City, Iowa. He attended Drake University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with honors. In 2014, Josh received a Juris Doctorate with honors from Drake University Law School. Josh was admitted to the Iowa State Bar and United States District Court, Southern and Northern Federal Districts of Iowa, in 2014. Josh serves on both the Board of Governors and Defense Update Board of Editors for the Iowa Defense Counsel Association. In 2018, Josh was awarded the Iowa Defense Counsel Association’s Rising Star Award. In 2023, he was awarded the Edward F. Seitzinger Award, the Iowa Defense Counsel Association's top honor. Josh handles cases for a wide variety of insurers, including automobile insurers, homeowners' insurers, general commercial liability insurers, and dram shop insurers. Josh is a member of the Iowa Supreme Court Grievance Commission, which considers ethical complaints against attorneys. He is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, where he serves on the Iowa Jury Instructions Committee. Josh is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, Polk County Bar Association, and National Association of Fire Investigators. Josh has been repeatedly named to Thomson Reuters' Super Lawyers Rising Star list, which identifies the top 2.5 attorneys in the state, as based on peer reviews and professional achievement. Josh is active in the community, including serving on the Board of Directors for LifeServe Blood Center and as an officer of the Drake Law School Recent Alumni Engagement Board. Josh enjoys spending his free time with his wife chasing after their two boys.
