Jonathan Brehm Available Now

Jon is an associate in the firm’s New Orleans office. Jon has more than a decade of experience in civil litigation, legal research and analysis, trial preparation, motion practice, and settlement negotiation. He defends clients on claims relating to toxic and mass torts, premises liability, construction, product liability, insurance and business litigation. Jon also has substantial state and federal appellate experience and is admitted to all Louisiana state and federal courts. He achieved favorable client outcomes at several trials and is an exhaustive researcher who effectively communicates thoughtful and thorough written analyses of legal questions. He tackles each case with tenacity and an analytical mindset, and takes the lead to develop and coordinate effective litigation strategies to deliver positive outcomes for clients. Jon received his B.A. from Tulane University, and had extensive career experience before becoming a lawyer. During college, Jon fell in love with New Orleans and decided to join Teach For America after graduation to serve his community as a TFA Greater New Orleans Corps Member. He had the privilege of teaching English/Language Arts at Alcee Fortier High School until Hurricane Katrina forced it to close. After Katrina, Jon worked as a renovation contractor and for several local and national non-profits until he attended law school. Jon received his J.D. and D.C.L. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2012 and his B.A. from Tulane University. He was a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Anthony Marabella, 19th Judicial Court in Baton Rouge, and active in LSU Law Clinic. Prior to joining Maron Marvel in 2025, Jon's practice included municipal/government liability, business representation, public bid and construction litigation, taxpayer defense, worker’s compensation defense, civil rights, personal injury, asbestos litigation, defamation and privacy torts, in addition to his current practice areas.
