Jay Mullinax Available Now

Jay A. Mullinax is the only attorney on Hilton Head Island with a Master of Laws in Estate Planning (LL.M.) whose law firm is exclusively dedicated to providing estate planning and related services. Mr. Mullinax provides estate planning, trust and estate administration services to South Carolina. He began his involvement in estate matters in 1989 and opened the Law Office of Jay A. Mullinax, LLC in 2004 after practicing law at a larger firm for several years. He serves on the South Carolina Bar Probate Code Revision Subcommittee. The Subcommittee gives recommendations for revising the Probate Code, which provides the laws for estates, trusts, wills, guardians and fiduciaries in South Carolina. The current South Carolina Probate Code cites precedent-setting case law established by a case in which Mr. Mullinax served as co-counsel. Mr. Mullinax has been interviewed on television and published articles concerning federal, statewide and local tax matters. He is also a member of the South Carolina Bar Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Sections, as well as, the Tax Law section.
