Jason Newfield Available Now

Jason A. Newfield, Esq., is a founding partner at the national disability law firm Newfield Law Group based in Melville NY, where he effectively represents disabled claimants in long term disability insurance, ERISA, and other insurance claims and litigation. Mr. Newfield has been involved in a host of published decisions from Courts throughout the United States, both in state and federal courts. He holds an AV Preeminent Peer Review from Martindale-Hubbell, has been named to the Super Lawyer New York Metro list from 2013 – 2024 and enjoys a top rating of 10 out of 10 from AVVO, a consumer-facing legal rating service. Mr. Newfield has authored numerous articles on disability insurance for publications CFIDS Chronicle, Interstitial Cystitis Newsletter, Podiatry Management, and Chiropractic Economics, among others. He served as a member of the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Advisory Committee, a federal committee which advised the US Department of Health and Human Services regarding Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. He has presented lectures to medical organizations about the disability claims process and has been a Physician Educator to medical providers for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome patients. For several years (before Covid), he was an annual presenter at the American Conference Institute – Disability Claims conferences and has been a lecturer for ALI-ABA regarding the claim process for LTD claims. Mr. Newfield received a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and was a member of the Hofstra Law Review. He is admitted to practice law in New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, the federal courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, District of Connecticut, and Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Second and Fourth Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
