James Helfrich Available Now

I spent three years in Manhattan working as an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett before relocating to Colorado. There, I worked as an associate at Gersh & Danielson and later became a founding partner at Gersh & Helfrich, LLP. In October 2025, I joined Campbell Killin Brittan & Ray, LLC, where I continue to focus on commercial litigation. Throughout my career, I have assisted hundreds of clients in resolving cases involving business disputes, business divorces, securities fraud, unsuitable investments, breaches of contract and fiduciary duty, internet fraud, bankruptcy, civil rights, illegal business practices, Ponzi schemes, real estate disputes, bodily injuries, and medical malpractice. I have been honored with the highest peer rating from Martindale Hubbell AV and have been selected annually by my peers as one of Colorado’s SuperLawyers since 2009. Additionally, I was included in The Best Lawyers in America in 2026. I am frequently invited to speak at continuing legal education seminars. Beyond my work at Campbell Killin Brittan & Ray, LLC, I coordinate volunteer legal aid clinics at organizations such as the Denver Rescue Mission, Salvation Army of Denver, Providence Network, Samaritan House, the More Life Center, the Littleton Life Center, and SECOR. I also serve on the board of directors for the Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Center.
