Jack Blum Available Now

Jack Blum is an associate in the firm’s Litigation and Employment Law practice groups. He has gained significant experience in a wide range of litigation matters, including real estate, commercial, corporate, and complex estates and trusts cases in both trials and appeals. He has represented large publicly and privately traded companies, individuals, real estate developers, medical practices, and small businesses. He has also worked with business owners on transactional work, forming business entities and drafting and reviewing contracts and other legal issues arising from ongoing and contemplated business transactions. In the area of employment law, Jack has worked with employers to defend employment discrimination and wage payment lawsuits, assisted both employers and employees in disputes over the enforcement or interpretation of employment agreements, and has drafted employment contracts and independent contractor agreements. Jack’s philosophy is that preparation is key when it comes to any type of litigation. He believes that the best way to obtain a favorable settlement or an early judgment in the client’s favor is to be prepared to take the case all the way through trial. Jack strives to remain realistic when assessing cases for clients in terms of what they can accomplish, how they can affect the client’s bottom-line goals and concerns, and whether it is worth it to try. He meticulously works to achieve his client’s goals in the most efficient way possible. Prior to joining the firm, Jack worked as a legal intern at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) where he assisted attorneys in the Office of the Inspector General with internal investigations. He also served as a law clerk at the Office of the Attorney General in Baltimore assigned to the Maryland Insurance Administration, and most recently was a law clerk at Paley Rothman before becoming an associate at the firm.
