About Italia Carson
Following retirement as the contracts law attorney for the Department of the Army at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, Ms. Carson opened North Poleβs first law office. More than half of her 20-plus-year legal career has been spent as a federal Government Contracts attorney for the U.S. Army and Air Force. Ms. Carsonβs current legal practice focuses on counseling small business contractors on the full range of federal procurement matters such as proposal preparation, contract interpretation, bid protests, disputes and claims, and suspension and debarment. She also focuses her legal practice on immigration law, bankruptcy, real estate and property, landlord / tenant disputes, business law, estate planning, wills and trusts, probate, public benefits and Veteran issues. Ms. Carson received her juris doctor from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law and holds a master in laws (LL.M) with a certificate in contract and fiscal law. She is completing the requirements for the LL.M in government procurement law from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. Ms. Carson retired as a lieutenant colonel with more than 27 years of service in the U.S. Army and served two combat tours of duty in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.
