About Harry Stansbury
Harry Case Stansbury served as Deputy Commissioner of Securities for the State of Louisiana from 1975 to 2004. At that time, Mr. Stansbury was one of the most experienced securities regulators in the United States. He has personal experience in handling almost every aspect of litigation and regulation, and criminal enforcement of securities laws. He has lectured on the topic of securities law at Louisiana State University and elsewhere, authored a text on securities regulation and works as an expert witness in the field of securities regulation and industry standards.
Mr. Stansbury has a BS degree from Louisiana State University, a JD degree from Loyola Law School, an MBA from the University of New Orleans, and a Masters in Computer Technology from Columbia University. He is a member of the Bars of Louisiana, New York, and the District of Columbia. Mr. Stansbury is currently a member of the Federal Regulation of Securities Committee of the American Bar Association, previously serving on that Committee's Derivative Instruments Subcommittee, and has served as Chair of the Corporations Committee of the New Orleans Bar Association. While a member of the North American Securities Administrators Association, Mr. Stansbury was a member of the ABA-ALI Federal Securities Code Liaison Committee, and served as Vice-Chair of the Uniform Securities Act Committee and Vice-Chair of the Secondary Market Transactions Committee. While a member of the Midwest Securities Administrators Association, he was a member of that Association's ABA-ALI Federal Securities Code Liaison Committee.
He was born in New Iberia, Louisiana, is married and has three daughters.
