About Gordon Unzen
Gordon Unzenโs practice focuses on helping clients navigate a wide range of legal matters involving social security disability (SSD) claims, workersโ compensation, and personal injury. He fights for his clients with attention to detail, a client-focused mindset, and a strong sense of justice.
Gordon graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School and was admitted to the prestigious Order of the Coif in recognition of his academic work. While in law school, he focused his time on honing his advocacy skills and giving back to his community by serving at the state and local level with the National Lawyers Guild, a public interest legal association. Gordon also provided leadership to the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology in his role as Executive Editor. He graduated summa cum laude and with honors from the University of New Hampshire, earning his bachelorโs degree in Psychology, Philosophy, and Justice Studies.
Prior to joining Shaheen & Gordon, Gordon clerked for the Law Office of Brockton D. Hunter. He worked on matters at all stages of litigation, from pre-trial motions to appeals and expungements. Gordon also interned with the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services, where he served in their Strategic Litigation Unit and advocated for civil rights. Gordonโs experience in a wide variety of legal matters and across several academic disciplines allows him to research, counsel, and advocate for his clients with an interdisciplinary approach.
