I grew up in Mobile, Alabama, the son of a Judge and a schoolteacher. They taught me the importance of justice and compassion. My grandfather, who worked for Bender Shipping, taught me at an early age that "If you tell someone you are going to do something, do it" and "If you work for someone, you give them 110 percent." Over my life, I have worked hard to apply these lessons. I went to the University of South Alabama and the University of Alabama for my undergraduate studies . I then went to Alabama Law School, where I earned best in class in Civil Procedure, Maritime Law and one other class. I served on the law review and graduated with honors. After working for two of the top corporate defense firms, I decided to follow my calling and become a trial lawyer, helping people and companies that have been injured and betrayed by insurance claims denials, fraud in the sale of insurance products, car wrecks, falling merchandise, dangerous products and unfair business practices. I believe that the practice of law is very important and that my clients are the most important people in the world. I am fortunate to be able to combine my purpose in life with my job. Every day I get to make the world a better place, one client at a time.
