Ethan M. Watts is a lawyer specializing in business law, intellectual property law, real estate law and internet and cyber law. Mr. Watts began his legal career at the highly regarded boutique business and real estate litigation law firm of Mazzarella Dunwoody & Caldarelli, LLP.1 Mr. Watts then joined the San Diego office of Musick, Peeler & Garrett LLP, a full-service law firm with offices across California, before opening up his own practice. Mr. Watts has more than 14 years of experience in business and real estate litigation, and his current practice also includes business startups, business and real estate transactions, intellectual property law and litigation and cyber law / internet law related matters.2 Mr. Watts earned a B.S. from Brigham Young University and a J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of San Diego. During law and business school, Mr. Watts worked as a web designer (including designing and developing the websites for the University of San Diego Law and Business schools) and as a law clerk in the subrogation department of the San Diego law firm Brownwood Chazen & Cannon. Prior to law and business school, Mr. Watts was a professional volleyball player and a member of the 1996 U.S. Olympic indoor volleyball team, and worked in the information technology services industry. During his legal career Mr. Watts has been active in numerous attorney organizations, such as the American Bar Association and the Intellectual Property Law Section of State Bar of California / California Lawyers Association, and he is currently a member of the Executive Committee for the Business and Corporate Law Section of the San Diego County Bar Association.
