Devoted, Down-to-Earth, and Specialized Edward “Ed” Guldi is a dedicated workers’ compensation attorney at The Perecman Firm, known for his strategic advocacy and deep commitment to protecting injured workers. Originally trained as a music teacher, Ed’s path to law was shaped by a lifelong drive for justice and a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Although he initially planned to enter his family’s real estate practice, he discovered his calling in workers’ compensation—where he could stand up for individuals often overlooked by powerful employers and insurance companies. Throughout his career, Ed has achieved significant results for his clients, including several precedent-setting victories that have strengthened protections for injured workers across New York. In Policarpio v. Rally Restoration Corp., Ed successfully argued a case that became a frequently cited landmark decision. In 2024, he secured another critical win ensuring the Workers’ Compensation Board must adhere to its own guidelines when determining Schedule Loss of Use awards—establishing a vital precedent for fairness and consistency. Beyond his courtroom successes, Ed has secured substantial settlements year after year and has handled thousands of administrative trials, mediations, and arbitrations. His approach is deeply client-focused: transparent, communicative, and grounded in empathy. He ensures every client feels informed, supported, and confident throughout their case. Ed earned his B.A. in Music, with honors, from Clark University and his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.
