Douglas Burnett is the founder of St. Augustine's Largest Law Firm, which is comprised of more than 10 attorneys. At St. Johns Law Group, my focus is on real estate law, and I am actively involved in complex litigation. Over the years, I have had the privilege of representing various local governments and have gained substantial experience in land development and zoning. I manage our firm's real estate closing department, where my responsibilities include drafting contracts, amendments, escrow agreements, closing documents, loan documents, post-closing agreements, and leases. I also handle complex litigation cases that involve construction defects, disputes within HOA and Condo associations, and property litigation. As founder and owner, I serve as a daily resource for other attorneys in our firm, sharing knowledge and insights. My background includes extensive representation of land developers, including national homebuilders, which supports my active practice in land development and zoning. Additionally, my experience extends to serving as a former real estate and contract attorney for a major medical company. In terms of trial experience, I have first-chaired over thirty jury trials and numerous non-jury trials, along with mediation and arbitration. My representation spans across owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals. This diverse background allows me to handle a wide range of legal challenges.
