Chris Newsom Available Now

Chris Newsom has engaged in a tax planning and controversy, business transactions, estate planning and non-profit organizations law practice since 1995. He has been Board Certified in Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2005. He has counseled businesses and individuals on federal and state tax issues. Chris has advised clients on "choice of entity" issues and formed all types of business entities. He has represented taxpayers in audits and disputes with the IRS and Texas Comptroller. He has represented companies in numerous mergers and acquisitions by preparing the various agreements and state filings. He has prepared wills and trusts for individuals and filed estate tax returns with the IRS. He has guided non-profit organizations through the process of gaining tax-exempt status determinations from the IRS, as well as providing them advice on various tax and corporate law matters.
