I am Charles Garman, a caring Senior Associate Attorney at Stange Law Firm, working from the Omaha, Nebraska family law office. I represent individuals throughout Douglas County and nearby areas. I earned my Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, where I was honored with the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Prior to law school, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy at Augustana University in South Dakota. I am currently licensed to practice law in both Nebraska and Iowa. Before my current role at Stange Law Firm, I spent four years as an attorney at another Omaha law firm. There, I managed probate and trust administrations, advised on estate planning, and represented clients in both Nebraska and Iowa, including in appellate cases. My work also included corporate advocacy in areas such as entity formation, real estate transactions, and contract drafting, and I represented clients before Nebraska and Iowa Health and Human Services. Earlier in my career, I focused on drafting and reviewing trusts, asset identification, and inheritance tax filings, collaborating with estate planning teams to explore legal strategies for trust administration. Additionally, I served as Legal Counsel for the Nebraska Legislature’s Education Committee, where I drafted education legislation, reviewed proposed bills, and negotiated with interest groups. Early in my career, I worked on bankruptcy cases, taught law, and managed claims in the title insurance industry.
