Annie Myers Available Now

Annie Myers is an associate attorney with Cochran and Chhabra, LLC. Ms. Myers is licensed to practice law in Maryland. Ms. Myers sparked an interest in the law while working as a Victim’s Advocate for the YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Domestic Violence Legal Services. During her 6 years at the YWCA, she formed lasting professional relationships with local law enforcement, commissioners, court staff, prosecutors, public defenders, private attorneys and judges. She then transitioned from the civil to the criminal arena, accepting a position with the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office as a Victim/Witness Specialist. In seven years with the State’s Attorney’s Office, Ms. Myers earned herself a reputation for diplomacy and strong advocacy, gaining extensive experience with the inner workings of the criminal justice process, both in the District and Circuit Courts. Ms. Myers firmly believes that every person is entitled to a strong and persuasive defense. Once she completed law school and joined the bar, she made the decision to join a defense oriented firm. She knew she wanted to work for a firm that promises to fight hard for their clients, so she joined Cochran and Chhabra. Ms. Myers earned her Bachelors of Art in Jurisprudence from the University of Baltimore. During her undergraduate years, she lived in London, England and Bangalore, India. She subsequently obtained her Masters of Art in Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts. While with the State’s Attorney’s Office, Ms. Myers was accepted to the University Of Baltimore School Of Law, where she attended law school at night while working full-time during the day. Ms. Myers is an Anne Arundel County native. During her high school years, she traveled to La Ceiba, Honduras three times, where she worked on various community service projects. It was in Honduras that she became fluent in Spanish.
