Andrew Varney Available Now

Andrew Varney was born and raised in Harlan, Kentucky. Mr. Varney moved with his family to Morristown, Tennessee and graduated from Morristown-Hamblen West High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a concentration in Law & Courts from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville. After his undergraduate degree, Mr. Varney attended Lincoln Memorial University, Duncan School of Law in which he graduated magna cum laude in 2022. He was the recipient of multiple CALI Excellence for the Future Awards during his time in law school. Mr. Varney joined the Garza Law Firm in the summer of 2021 as a law clerk and has been with the firm ever since. At Garza Law, Mr. Varney has spent extensive time working on a wide variety of criminal defense cases. Upon passing the Tennessee bar in 2022, Mr. Varney has concentrated his practice in the area of criminal defense. In 2025, Mr. Varney attended the prestigious National Criminal Defense College’s Deryl Dantzler Trial Practice Institute, which is a two-week trial skills program for criminal defense attorneys. The college is renowned for its transformative and immersive training in developing trial skills for criminal defense practitioners. Mr. Varney is also a graduate of the Tennessee Criminal Defense Trial College.
