Alexander R. Schneider is a founding partner of O’Dea Schneider PLLC, bringing over 25 years of legal and military experience to his practice. A former Army prosecutor and seasoned federal trial attorney, he has litigated complex cases across U.S. District Courts and military courts-martial worldwide. His focus includes federal defense, military justice, and high-stakes matters where careers and reputations are on the line. Before founding the firm, Alex served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in Washington, D.C. with the U.S. Capitol Police, prosecuting armed robbery, firearms offenses, terrorism cases, and threats against federal officials. Known for his clarity under pressure and meticulous preparation, he earned a reputation for managing high-risk litigation with precision. Previously, Alex was the Chief Prosecutor of the U.S. Army, leading the global Special Victim Prosecution program. He has tried over 40 felony jury trials and advised senior commanders in combat and domestic environments. His service includes deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan as a military prosecutor and Brigade Judge Advocate. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., Alex holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law and an LL.M. in criminal law from the U.S. Army JAG School. His honors include the Legion of Merit, two Bronze Stars, and recognized by the Director of the FBI for a complex homicide prosecution.
