Alexander Kannan Available Now

A fluent Spanish-speaker and native of Chicago, Illinois, I attended law school in San Diego, California. Upon graduating law school, I had planned on working as a staff attorney at a non-profit organization as all of my internships were completed at non-profit organizations either in Chicago or San Diego. Unfortunately, upon graduation, jobs were not available in the areas I was seeking. So, in 2013, I opened my own law firm called “Law Offices of Alex Amar Kannan” focusing on immigration law cases. Fast forward to 2019, “Kannan Law Firm, Inc.” now has two offices (Spring Valley, California and a satellite office in Escondido, California) and I am supported by two excellent Spanish-speaking paralegals named Elizabeth Jaimez and Daniela Sedano. We all speak Spanish and handle immigration, criminal defense and auto accident injury cases. I am licensed to practice law in California, Illinois and Colorado (currently inactive in the latter two states). Being that immigration law is federal and due to the efficiency of technology and ease of communication, we can assist immigration law clients all across the nation. We have a network of trusted attorneys with whom we collaborate on certain cases and we collaborate with a Chicago-based law firm focusing on immigration matters. I am grateful to have the opportunity to help others and grateful for the excellent team I have with Elizabeth and Daniela.
