Alex Susor is the founder of the Law Offices of Alex Susor in Decatur, Georgia. His practice consists of state and federal criminal defense, post-conviction criminal appeals, petitions for habeas corpus relief, plaintiff’s personal injury claims, and representation of K-12 public school teachers in Georgia Teacher Fair Dismissal Act and Professional Standards Commission administrative hearings. Alex was a co-recipient of the 2009 Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers "Case of the Year" Award for his successful appeal to the Georgia Supreme Court of the state’s kidnapping statute and has been invited to testify as an expert before the Georgia Senate and Georgia House of Representatives Judiciary Committees. He is an alumnus of the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyer’s Division Leadership Academy (Class of 2009), served as the co-chair of the State Bar of Georgia YLD's Criminal Law Committee, in various positions with the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, served two terms on the Board of Directors for the State Bar Young Lawyers Division, and is a past Chairman of the the Board of Directors for the Georgia Innocence Project. He is also the only private practice criminal defense attorney selected by the Fulton County Daily Report for its 2015 list of 40 under 40 "On the Rise" attorneys in the State of Georgia. Alex is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the ABA, Cobb County Bar Association, Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Georgia Tech Alumni Association, and the GT Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all Georgia State, Superior, and appellate courts, the U.S. District Court for both the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also and Eagle Scout.
